You’re having a clear out. There’s a few bags of stuff for the charity shop, there’s a few bags of hand-me-downs for friend’s and relatives, there’s the stuff to sell on eBay, there’s the stuff for the local recycling centre/dump.
Barrowell Green recycling centre in Winchmore Hill is always my first stop for those items that can’t go in the weekly refuse collection. Microwaves, vacuum cleaners, rubble, cardboard, broken garden chairs – you name it – I’m sure you’ve taken it there too.
In my last couple of visits I’ve noticed the Revive Reuse Shop at Barrowell Green Recycling Centre, that seems to be growing in size and popularity. You name it, you can probably find it. It really is my newly discovered Aladdins Cave.
Chairs, tables, crockery, children’s and adults’ bikes, outdoor toys, mirrors, desks, trinkets, garden furniture and accessories, internal and external doors…. it’s all there. I even saw a real mini motorbike there yesterday. Whether you are looking for an upcycling project, pots and pans, garden furniture, second hand scooters, children’s plastic pedal car or a vase. These are all very reasonably priced and all useable.
Some need some tlc and some are in good condition.
If you have something that you want to get rid of and think that someone else could reuse as it is or they could get creative with, or if you are looking for a second hand something, the Revive Reuse Shop is definitely worth a visit. You may even leave with that special essential item that you never knew you even needed!
